One-Flower Wednesday and My Jane H-9

 Encouraging Words of the Day
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.  ~Psalm 139:23-24, NLT

Yes, we survived the terrible tornadoes in North Texas yesterday.  Actually, we are in Central Texas but our son and nephews were right in the middle of yesterday’s tornadoes.  Our son works at DFW airport and his pickup truck suffered terrible hail damage from baseball-sized hailstones.  Other than that, all and their homes are safe.  Thanks to God for that and that no deaths were reported in North Texas.
As for my sewing:  I just had to take a try at making a cute pincushion I saw on Sunny’s blog.  It was fast and easy to make and so cute that I made two.  Thanks for the idea, Sunny.

We’re getting ready to go “on the road again” as we are driving up to North Texas where our youngest son lives.  I will do some more hexie flowers on the drive there.  By the way, it’s One Flower Wednesday. ”    Karen at Journey of a Quilter has organizedOne Flower Wednesdayand provides a linky for all of to share our hexagon flowers.  If you would like to see more flowers out there in blogland, just click HEREMeanwhile, here are mine for this week.

Here's another “My Jane” block which I completed on our road trip out here.  Difficult, difficult.  I had a time with this one and it still looks odd.
H-9
And, I have completed 4 more Little Houses for "Little Dutch Houses from Scraps."  I have a total of 7 now.
