One-Flower Wednesday and 200th Post Giveaway

All sorts of things going on:

First of all, it's “One Flower Wednesday,” that day when Karen from Journey of a Quilter  provides a linky for all of to share our hexagon flowers.  I managed to get one done.  This goal of making at least one flower a week really adds to my garden each week.  That's a good thing since it seems like I'm actually working on two hexie quilts, my landscape with my little ranch house in it and another with scrappy flowers.  Here's a flower for one of them:

Then, yay!  My sister who blogs at  "My Sister Made Me Do It" is back from her vacation visiting her sons in North Texas.  I missed her and glad she's back home although I'm glad she was able to spend time with her sons and their families.  She came by my house on her way home bearing goodies.  Just look at these beautiful fat quarters and these too cute sewing ladies.  Thanks, Ida.  Glad you're back and not just because of the goodies.

200th Post Giveaway! I’m almost there as this will be post #198.  I have a new sponsor, "Connecting Threads."    

I make that sound like I have lots of sponsors when this is just my second one, but really, I already loved "Connecting Threads" even before they became a sponsor.  I love their prices, their fabrics, their threads, and their notions.  I have ordered all of the afore mentioned at various times and have never been unhappy with anything.  Now, I've received this fabulous fat quarter bundle from  "Connecting Threads."  This is the entire beautiful "Sweetgrass Prairie Collection.”  It’s full of blossoms and textures in a soft, vintage color palette designed to mimic the look of mid-19th century quilts.  There’s even a “cheater” FQ of hexagons.  That is a total of 33 fat quarters. 

These fabrics are gorgeous and rather than give them all to one winner, I have divided them up into 3 bundles so there will be 3 winners, each winning 11 fat quarters.  The major colors are pinks and purples,

greens and blues which includes the cheater hexagons,

and browns. so that will be the way the bundle is divided.
