Post-Cruise and One Flower Wednesday

Encouraging Words of the Day:
And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me.' ~ Matthew 25:40, NLT

Last "One-Flower Wednesday" we were somewhere on the high seas enjoying our cruise and celebrating our oldest grandson's graduation from high school.
I tried to get Blogsy to post for me while I was gone but that didn't work and my sister at "My sister made me do it...." posted for me explaining that Blogsy had gone astray. And no, I didn't make her do the post :) Thanks, Ida. Now I'm back and posting two flowers that I photographed off the ship. You can see "The Bahamas" in the background.
I didn't sew these while I was on the cruise. I sewed them in Virginia before we left but I took them long so I could take their photo while on the cruise.
Thanks to Karen for providing us with the "One-Flower Wednesday" linky.
Check out "One-Flower Wednesday" to see flowers others have posted.
Now I'm off to join my energetic grandsons on another adventure.
That is all.

Blogsy Fail!

Happy Wednesday from Irene's sister..........Irene had readied her blog post today for One Flower Wednesday and I was going to get it into the linky for her but..........FAIL!  Blogsy didn't post for her and I am unable to send it for her since I have no iPad.......

Notice the beautiful scripture above.........I didn't choose the scripture because of the photo but I thought it was quite appropriate when I saw the ocean since Irene and her family are presently on a cruise..........I will continue to check to see if Blogsy wakes up so that her OFW flower can be posted.................

A Blessed Wednesday to you all..................

One Flower Wednesday in Virginia

Encouraging Words of the Day:

I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid. ~ John 14:27, NLT

It's "One-Flower Wednesday" and we're in Virginia visiting our oldest son and family. That includes 3 boisterous grandsons who are really keeping us busy. Our oldest grandson is graduating from high school so we've been to his graduation ceremony and several graduation parties. That and getting ready for our Graduation Celebraion Cruise which starts on Saturday is keeping everything in at a feverous pitch. It's a good thing I sewed up my "One-Flower Wedneday" flower before we left El Paso.

Go to "One-Flower Wednesday" to see flowers others have sewn at the linky which Karen graciously provides for us each week.

Ok, I'm off. Grandsons are calling so . . .

that is all.

One Flower Wednesday and My Jane H5 and H3

Encouraging Words of the Day:

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." ~ John 8:12, NLT

Once again we find ourselves at "One-Flower Wednesday." It seems like I'm always working on hexies and loving it. I just finished two pink hexies for my June swap partner in the "Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap." Since I'm getting ready for vacation, I quickly placed them in an envelope and mailed them off the Australia. Yes, I mailed them and forgot to take a photo so I don't have those to show you. Instead, I have my Flower Ball to show you. I've finished sewing the flowers sent to me by my friends in the "Get Your Hex On Hive #3" quilting bee.

I embroidered the name of each seamstress on the flower she made. Now I need to applique the ball onto the background and quilt it.

Click on “One Flower Wednesday” to see flowers others have made.

I've also completed a couple of "My Jane" blocks. Here are two easily paper-pieced blocks. I now have 143 of 169 inner blocks done. 26 to go...

Hands 2 Help Quilts On the Way

Encouraging Words of the Day:

My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. ~ Psalm 62:7, NLT

Well, two charity quilts are finished and ready for mailing to "Hands 2 Help." I've made these quilts for chemo patients. Ginger Johnston is the founder of Happy Chemo and has set a goal of 1500 quilts for Happy Chemo. Maybe these quilts will bring a little comfort and joy to those who are facing the fear and uncertainty that trips to the chemo lab bring.

This is a quilt I created in the "Argyle Quilt-Along" Jess at "Quilty Habit" hosted recently on her blog.

And this is an I-Spy Quilt made from a pattern for a fabric slab I found in the "Sunday Morning Quilts" book.

That is all.
