Advent is a time of quiet preparation for the birth of Jesus. We reflect on those aspects of our lives that are in need of renewal, and offer our gratitude for the many gifts we experience each day.
Long ago the prophet Isaiah promised that “the Lord himself will give you this sign: the Virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel.” Jesus is that sign for us. He dwells as God among us, the center of our faith and the foundation of our hope. May your prayers bring you blessings this Advent.

Blog Hop Party and Giveaway
To celebrate their 5th birthday, Michelle at the Quilting Gallery is hosting another fun Blog Hop Party with giveaways from all participating bloggers. The Blog Hop Party lasts from December 9th through December 15th.
I will be giving away a book called "An Apple a Day" by The Quilted Fish. It has 9 projects for the daily life of quilters, sewists, and crafters. Also included in the giveaway are 3 fat quarters to get you started on a project.
