Trunk Full of Quilts Show

Encouraging Words of the Day:
I just found out about this wonderful Quilt Trunk Show from my sister. Its a place where we all get a chance to showcase our work on a blog post and link it up on this site. The Trunk Show is hosted by by Soma at Whims and Fancies. Just click on the photo below and you can go there too!
What a great place to see alll sorts of beautiful quilts made by our fellow bloggers. Here's the link:

I have two quilts I've made to show you. It seems like I've wanted a Christmas quilt for a long time but every time I thought about making one, it was almost Christmas and I never seemed to get it done. I finally started one in 2013, worked on it throughout the year, off-and-on, and finally finished by Christmas 2014. This pattern was from a Sampler Quilit-Along hosted by Beaquilter in 2013.
Here's another of my favorite quilts. My House Quilt is comprised of blocks from several sources. Whenever I found a house that appealed to me, I'd make that block and save it. Finally, I got enough houses to make a quilt. Well, the blocks are not all houses because I was getting anxious to see a finished quilt so a few blocks are not a house. Oh, and one year, I won some houses made by felllow quilters in a lotto hosted by Beth at Love, Laugh. Quilt blog:

Those are two of my favorite quilts, bad photography but great quilting, LOL.
That is all.

I love how you just made the houses and kept them until you had enough for a quilt! I love that some of the blocks aren't houses it...it really adds extra interest to the quilt.

Those are great, Irene. I love your house quilt with the blocks you won from Beth. Adding to them was a great way to finish it off.

What??? You make more than hexies? Just joking. I looked at all those houses but didn't see the one you used to have at the top of your posts. You had enough versions of that to make more than one quilt.

I participated in one of the house lottos held by Beth, but it must have been a different year because I don't recognize any of the houses. Great quilts!

These are both great quilts. Some of my quilts also take a year or two before they are finished. I love the blog title and idea of it. Oh, and the Dear Jane in the side bar. Wow.

I love your Christmas quilt. I have a top ready to be quilted and had hoped to have it finally quilted for this Christmas but at this point it isn't going to happen! Thanks for the trunk show.
