Lots of Sewing but not much blogging

I haven’t blogged in a while because I’ve been sewing. I bought a new embroidery machine and a new sewing machine so I’ve been playing.  I’m thoroughly enjoying everything about these new machines except reading the instructions. But, I’ve found that I learn so much more by doing that so....

Another reason I haven’t blogged in so long (since December) is that Blogsy, which I used to write my blogs with iPad, is no longer available in the US. Nevermind that I paid for this app, it’s just gone for US users. I’ve tried several other apps and have not found one that I’m happy with. I’m trying yet another one on this post and will see how that goes.

One of the things I’ve sewed is a charity quilt of the Hands2Help group which Sarah at “Confessions of a Fabric Addict” hosts each year.  There are several charities available on Hands2Help.  Below is the icon and clicking on it may or may not take you to the web page where it’s all explained.  I’m not sure if the link works so if not since I’m still trying to learn how to use this new blogging app. You may need to click on this as well:

The quilt I made is composed of several hand-sewn blocks I found at an estate sale.  The colors weren’t too appealing so I tried to pretty them up with some embroidery after the quilting was done.  There were 8 blocks so I used 6 for the front and 2 for the backing.

These photos came out to the side and I can’t figure out how to center them...
That is all.

So good to see your post. I'm glad you are keeping creative and busy. I just hate it every time changes are forced down my throat. I was forced to take the "new" yahoo and it is a pain in the ---. Blogger has made more changes than I can keep up with throughout the years. Hope you find what works best for you.

I love how you were able to finish someone else's hard work. If that person is looking down from heaven at her finished blocks I know she is smiling! I think adding the embroidery finished it off perfectly!
Sarah's Hands2help Charity Challenge is a wonderful way to say you care..........

It's so nice to see a post from you pop up again. You did a great job with those blocks and I really like how the embroidery finished them off.

Your beautiful postcard arrived with great embroidery on it too. The machine does such nice stitching. Thank you.

I hope you can find a way to get more blog posts up. I miss hearing from you and Ida.
