Encouraging words of the day:
Dear Lord,
There is no greater feeling of liberation than to experience this freedom from sin and death that
you have provided for me through Jesus Christ. Today my heart and my soul are
free to praise you. For this I am very thankful.
On this Independence Day I
am reminded of all those who have sacrificed for my freedom, following the
example of your Son, Jesus Christ. Let me not take my freedom, both physical
and spiritual, for granted. May I always remember that my freedom was purchased
with a very high price. My freedom cost others their very lives.
Lord, today, bless those
who have served and continue to give their lives for my freedom. With favor and
bounty meet their needs and watch over their families.
Help me to live my life in
a way that glorifies you, Lord. Give me the strength to be a blessing in
someone else's life today, and grant me the opportunity to lead others into the
freedom that can be found in knowing Christ. Amen
Happy Birthday to the United States of America. Today is a day of celebration for all
Americans. My husband and I visited our
family in New Mexico earlier in the week so have been celebrating Independence
Day all week. I did a little hand-sewing
on our road trip to New Mexico and managed to make 3 more tiny little ½ inch
hexie flowers. They are so cute but
somewhat difficult to make since they are so small.
Not much sewing going on. I’m off to continue 4th of July celebrations
at our neighbor’s for a cook-out.
Oh, I did find a giveaway on the quick blog browsing
I did:
"Quixotic
Crafter” is giving away a fat
quarter pack of 5 bright prints from the Hot House fabric line. - ends Jul7
8th.

Love your wee little hexies! I'm making a few tiny flowers for a project. THey can be hard to handle, but they require fewer stitches, so they go fast. Happy 4th!
Well done persisting with the tiny hexies, they are lovely...
Three little lovelies!
Those tiny hexies must be hard to sew. Yikes! I'm not sure my hands would be happy sewing something that small.
Oh gosh.........I didn't even realize you posted your flower...and not just one but three. I recognize the fabric in the bottom one....they are so cute....
