Giveaway and One Flower Wednesday

Encouraging Words of the Day:

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:31, NLT

It's "One-Flower Wednesday" and I'm still working on 1/2-inch hexies. I'm planning on one day finishing a traditional "Grandmother's Flower Garden" quilt made up entirely of 1/2-inch hexies. I haven't even begun to figure out how many little flowers that will take. Anyway, here are 3 more. There's a make-do that's pretty obvious on this one.

I'm embroidering like crazy on my new embroidery machine so that's all I've done lately. Well, not exactly just embroidering but learning how to do stuff with it too. Oh, except for Hexathon Hexie # 38 which I finished on a recent road trip to New Mexico to visit my parents.

Last thing: Reminder about my "Happy Birthday & 300th Post Giveaway." Today's post is # 299 so when I post the winner on Saturday, March 2nd, that will be my 300th post. Click on the link below to enter:

"Happy Birthday & 300th Post Giveaway."

Two winners will be chosen to win these selections of 6 fat quarters each.Jungle Fever

or Springtime.

That is all.

Love your hexies! Was it difficult when you first took the plunge and made a 'make-do" hexie?

I have been meaning to ask do you buy or print up your own hexagon papers?

Don't blame you for not working out how many of those tiny hexies you will need for a quilt. That would be a really daunting number!

Oh my friend, you need to learn to count! there you go putting us to shame again. Lovely hexies. I see I am nearing 300 posts too. If I have a give-away, will it become a tradition? (You do know that a "tradition" in an accident that has been allowed to happen more than once).

The Scot keeps asking me... how many of those thingies do you need... Ithink I will just lay them on the bed when I think I have enough and work from there.
Love your hexie flowers such wonderful colours.

Love the little flowers....I have gotten to love the "make-do" flowers even more than the perfect ones! Reminds me of my own imperfections and that God still sees me as beautiful anyway!

I think it is amazing that you are making your hexies so tiny. Have you been keeping track of how many hours you are putting into this project?
