And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life--this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past. - Ecclesiastes 5:19-20, NLT
God wants us to view what we have (whether it is much or little) with the right perspective--our possessions are a gift from God. Although they are not the source of joy, they are a reason to rejoice because every good thing comes from God.
We should focus more on the Giver than the gift. We can be content with what we have when we realize that with God we have everything we need.

Back in dusty, windy West Texas
Encouraging words of the day:
Well, we have now left the beautiful Texas Hill Country and are back home in far West Texas. We enjoyed the beautiful nice spring weather of south Texas. In El Paso, our flowers are blooming and the yard looks wonderful. I will be out enjoying it later in the day. No, I won’t be outside enjoying my beautiful garden. The wind is ridiculous. We have winds up to 30 mph and, if you’re familiar with west Texas, you know that there is a thick cloud of dust everywhere.
I’ve finished the "Penny Haren Applique" block for this week. It’s called “Rolling Star.” You can see I had problems all over the place on this one. My center points don't meet and the whole thing ended up with a crooked, wonky look which it’s not supposed to have but assures that it will go along with the rest of my blocks.
I will be spending the rest of the day playing “catch up” with the mail which accumulated during the last two weeks we’ve been gone.
