My Jane A 12 and My FW4

Encouraging words of the day:
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. ~ Micah 6:8, NLT

We’re enjoying our beach visit tremendously.  Here I am relaxing (no sewing machine around or I'd be sewing too).

 Nags Head, NC

I sewed on our auto trip out here so I do have a my hexie flowers for One Flower Wednesday,  a “My Jane” block, and a “Farmer’s Wife” block, plus Penny Haren
Applique block.  I didn't sew them all on the trip out, haha.  I did some prep work and machine sewing before my trip so I'd have something to post.  Looks like I'm managing to post at least once a week so I'm posting them all now.  I hate to miss
One Flower Wednesday so this is my posting day :)

Sunshiney and fun-looking?

 “My Jane A-12”
This was easy paper-piecing but still looks pretty amateurish...
FW4 - Basket Weave (easy)

PennyHaren - Chris's compass
I think this is one of the uglier blocks of all the ones we've sewn in this group,
but, oh well.

Giveaways I've run into in my meager amounts of time on the internet,  what with the beach and 3 grandsons calling my name:
"Ellison Lane Quilts" is giving away a fabric bundle. – ends July 29th.
Aunt Polly's Porch is having a giveaway  a GO! Baby cutter and 3 dies.  - ends July 27th.
Cara Quilts is having a giveaway.  You could win a GO! Baby Cutter and 3 dies.  – ends Aug 7th.
Annie's Ruby Slipperz is having her weekly Mystery Monday.  You could win 5 fat quarters. - ends July 27th.
A Quilting Southpaw is having a giveaway of 5 Christmas fat quarter fabrics, 1 spool coordinating thread, and 1 cute santa trinket box or 1 floral fat quarter fabric, 1 set of 8 friendship coasters, and 1 set of 300 inspirational post its.  – ends Aug 14th.

That is all.

ha ha, I love your honest comment about the block! Too funny.
I think your paper piecing looks pretty good, I would not call it amateurish. I have never done paper piecing - I want to, but it scares me. I am positive however that my attempts will look horrible making your so called amateurish block look amazing!

Love your flowers! With all those little pieces in DJ, even paper pieced squares get a little wonky sometimes...I have a few of them in my own! :-)
