"My Jane" Block A-9 & Farmer's Wife Block #1

Encouraging words of the day:
I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer. ~ Psalm 120:1, NLT

We’re still in the Texas Hill Country.  We’re still in the middle a a bad drought but it is still beautiful.  I’ve been able to accomplish some sewing.  I’m constantly working on “My Jane” and am enjoying that tremendously.  Here is another completed block.  It was pretty easy paper-piecing and I’m happy with the way it turned out.

I’ve also made the leap into starting the “Farmer’s Wife Sampler” blocks.  I’ve completed 4 so far.  Here is the Block #1 called “Attic Window.”  It was paper-pieced and actually went together really fast since it is just large pieces.  After working on the little bitty pieces on “My Jane” this one was ma piece-of-cake.  I know they will probably get harder as this quilt progresses.  Of course they will.

Oh, and I keep forgetting to post the July house of the month from the House Quilt-Along.  This month’s block is a log cabin.  I love the way it turned out.

The "My Jane" block is beautiful and so feminine.
The Attic Window block with it's fussy cut center is very pretty.
And your log cabin is AMAZING!! Love the fabrics you used for texture and the clouds in the sky :)

Thanks for your perfect Bible verse, as I am today worrying over my eight month old grandson who apparently has had a seizure, for the second time. I have "cried out" to the Lord.
