Favorite Day of the Week - One Flower Wednesday!

Encouraging words of the day:
“...stand and see the salvation of the Lord...” - (II Chronicles 20:17, NAS)

Notice that today’s verse doesn’t say, “Keep running until you see the salvation of the Lord.”  It doesn’t say, “Bury your head in the sand until God delivers you.”  It doesn’t say, “Worry all night and try to figure things out until a miracle takes place.”  No, God wants us to stand strong, set our faces like a flint, and fight the good fight of faith. And the good news is you don’t have to do it in your own strength! God is on your side.  He’s equipped you with His supernatural power to overcome every obstacle.

It’s  One Flower WednesdayYay!  I can’t believe that this has become one of my favorite sewing days.  I just love these little hexie flowers, but I say that each week so here goes:

We’re getting ready to go on a road trip to the ranch so that will give me six hours of hand-sewing time.  I’ve done a lot of prep work for “My Jane” so that and hexie flowers will keep my hands busy.  First we’ll be going to green, rainy New Mexico and then on to drought-plagued south Texas.

Speaking of  “My Jane” :  Here is block D-13.  This block was paper-pieced and so easy.  You can see how “Plain Jane” it looks, nothing to it.  It was nice to have a relaxing block.

Here’s the Farmer’s Wife block #10 – Bowtie.  It was also pretty easy to paper-piece
FW 10 – Bowtie

Giveaways I’ve found:
Speaking of giveaways,  I don’t think I told you about this lovely giveaway I won.
I received this wonderful Christmas Giveaway I won from Sonio at "A Quilting Southpaw's Thoughts."  Now I’m ready to start on my Christmas sewing.  Thanks, Sonia.

 Now, the giveaways I've found:

Just curious, have you ever made just ONE flower on Wednesday? Are you trying to make the rest of us look like a bunch of slackers? Just kidding! I love your work. Have a safe trip!
