Day 14 of Blogtoberfest and Beautiful California Weather

Encouraging Words of the Day:

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. ~ Colossians 3:15, NLT

It was a quiet Sunday full of California sunshine. We took our grandson to a local park called Oso Park and had our McDonald's lunch there along with feeding the ducks.

And, it's Day 14 of Blogtoberfest.

Yesterday we went by the doctor's office to pick up some allergy pills and I saw this beautiful quilt hanging in the waiting room. Each state is made from a fabric depicting something about the state. Texas fabric is oil wells and cowboys, Kansas is corn fields, New Mexico is chiles, and so forth. The picture as usual does not do it justice. What a wonderful idea someone had.

That is all.

LOL - love it! I live about 25 miles from the Arch in StL and we're from Indiana. Nice to know someone else knows about the 500. Love your October header!!

What an interesting post. The Photo of Oso Park has some nice greens and browns if I wanted to steal it for use in your post from Day 12....LOL....And what a cool USA quilt....yes some quilters are so inventive....and this quilter must have done some research to pick the correct fabric for each state. You are almost to the halfway point! Go Irene, Go Irene, Go Irene! (You have your own personal cheer-leader!)
